How Carbon Film Is Made

The carbon heating elements are constructed of a uniformed coating over a polyester film. Electrical floor energy is then brought into the film from factory connected"cold cable" leads which connect to the copper strips and here it is transformed without loss into thermal energy.

• Installation below timber or laminate floating floor - 6mm palziv Insulation is laid out and completely covers existing floor (concrete or timber floor) the carbon film is laid directly on top of the palziv insulation and Covered with a moisture barrier before wood or laminate floating floor is Laid

How Ribbon Heating Is Made

The ribbon heating system is an innovative molecular structure using high strength metal ribboms combined with high electrical resistance, constructed out of crystalline metal, this ensures a maximum superior performance and an even radiant heat.

Primary Heat

The ribbon heating system is so versatile it can give maximum floor coverage creating a primary heating source (80 - 85% is required for primary heating), it also rises to an optimal heat far quicker than conventional heating systems.

Sub Floors and Floor Coverings

The ribbon heating system can be used on any sub floor and under most floor coverings due to the low temperature heat.

Cost Effective

Because the ribbon heating mat's thickness is only minimal and the heat is not stored in the actual heating element itself, all the heat is transferred evenly to the surrounding area creating low cost effective results.

Earthing

The ribbon system is already earthed so there is no need for any extra cost towards grounding kits and is an excellent choice for use in any wet areas (i.e. bathrooms and wet rooms).

Safety

Due the ribbon heating systems extremely low magnetic field it avoids dangerous and unpleasant burning of oxygen and dust, the ribbon system has also been created with all grounding and safety electrical mechanisms built in.

Choosing your Devimat System

Choose the 100W/m² devimat for timber based sub floors and for concrete based sub floors choose the 150W/m². If a room has both a timber and part concrete floor then treat each area separately with separate thermostats.

Choose your devimat or combination of mats equivalent to the available free floor space. Please exclude all floor units (i.e. bath, toilet, kitchen )
